Intro – What Happen When You Mix 5G and Vidmate?
When 5G launched I was super excited. Every app I used started loading faster and streaming was like butter. But I had one question in mind – Will Vidmate also download faster with 5G? Or is it just same speed like 4G?
So I did a real test on my own phone. I used 4G and 5G both for same video on Vidmate. This article will tell you what I noticed and how big the difference really is.
What’s The Hype Behind 5G Speed?
5G is not just small upgrade of 4G. It is super fast and meant for future apps. On paper 5G speed can go over 1 Gbps which is like downloading a full movie in few seconds. But in real world that depends on signal and your phone.
Still – it is faster than 4G in most cases. And that should help apps like Vidmate right?
My Test Setup – Real Phone Real Network
To see the actual diff I used two phones:
- Phone 1: 4G only phone
- Phone 2: 5G enabled phone (same brand and model)
- I picked one video from YouTube using Vidmate search:
- Video length: 12 min
- Size: around 180 MB in 720p
- Then I downloaded that video on both phones at same time same location.
Result – How Fast is Vidmate on 5G?
- 4G Download Time: 1 min 47 sec
- 5G Download Time: 39 sec
- That’s almost 2.5x faster on 5G
- Not only download was faster but also:
- Video loaded quicker in Vidmate preview
- No buffering or delay
- App felt smoother overall
- So yes – 5G gives visible boost to Vidmate speed if your signal is strong
What If Signal Is Weak?
I also tested in low signal area. In weak spots 5G dropped to same speed like 4G or even less. So just having 5G sim is not enuff. You need proper tower support.
If your 5G signal bars are low then speed will not be stable and sometimes Vidmate will show “Download failed” or freeze.
Does Vidmate Itself Use Full 5G Potential?
Good question. Vidmate is not a heavy live streaming app like Twitch. It downloads from other sites like YouTube or Facebook. So its speed depends on:
- Vidmate server speed
- Source site speed (like YouTube)
- Your network type (4G or 5G)
- Background apps running
- So even with 5G Vidmate may not hit full speed all the time. But yes – it uses what it gets.
Tips to Get Max Speed with Vidmate on 5G
If you got 5G phone and still feel slow download try these tricks:
- Close all background apps
- Use latest Vidmate version
- Download during low traffic time (late night or early morning)
- Turn off battery saver
- Set download quality to medium (720p instead of 1080p)
- Also try switching Download Location to internal memory if SD card is slow
Don’t Forget About Data Usage
One problem with fast 5G download is you use up data quickly. I downloaded 5 videos and my 1GB was gone in minutes.
So always check your data plan. If you use Vidmate daily on 5G you should have unlimited or big data pack
Real Benefit – More Downloads in Less Time
Earlier I used to wait 10-15 mins for 1GB file. Now with 5G and Vidmate it’s done in 3-5 mins max.
This helps when:
- You’re traveling and want to download quickly
- You need urgent videos before class
- You have low charging time and want fast action
- More speed = more videos in same time
Final Words – 5G and Vidmate Work Great Together
So yes – there is a big difference in download speed when you use Vidmate with 5G. It’s smoother faster and makes offline watching more fun.
But remember it also depends on signal quality and your phone type. If all things are good then you’ll enjoy a next-level Vidmate experience with 5G.
- Now I download HD movies songs and even 1 hour podcasts in few mins. No more waiting. No more stress.
