Download Educational Webinars Using Vidmate – Is It Possible

Download Educational Webinars Using Vidmate – Is It Possible

Intro – When Learning Goes Online

Since few years online learning has exploded. Webinars have become one of the best ways to study from home. Teachers colleges trainers everyone using live webinars for education.

But the problem comes when you miss the session or wanna watch again. That’s when people start asking –

  • Can I download webinars using Vidmate?

I asked the same question last month and tested it out. This article shares what I found and how you can also save webinars offline using Vidmate.

What Exactly Is a Webinar?

Before we dive in let’s quickly clear what a webinar means. It’s like a seminar or class but over internet.

Mostly it’s hosted on:

  • Zoom
  • Google Meet
  • Microsoft Teams
  • WebEx
  • YouTube Live
  • Facebook Live

Sometimes these webinars are saved publicly but many times they are private or hidden. So downloading them is tricky.

Can Vidmate Download Webinars?

  • Short answer – Yes but with limits
  • Vidmate can download videos if the link is public or hosted on a platform Vidmate supports. This includes:
  • YouTube (public webinars)
  • Facebook Live (if saved and public)
  • Vimeo
  • DailyMotion

But Vidmate cannot directly record Zoom or Teams meetings unless they are uploaded somewhere like YouTube or Google Drive later.

How I Downloaded a Webinar Using Vidmate

Let me share a real example. I attended a free webinar on “Digital Marketing” which was live on Facebook and later saved on the page. Here’s what I did:

  • Opened Facebook on browser and copied the webinar link
  • Opened Vidmate and pasted the link in search
  • Vidmate detected the video and showed download options
  • Selected 720p and clicked download
  • Video saved to gallery in few mins

So yes – if your webinar is on Facebook or YouTube and visible to public, Vidmate works perfect

What If Webinar Is Private?

Now comes the hard part. If the webinar is only visible to registered users or inside Zoom meeting without recording then Vidmate won’t help.

In such case you need to:

  • Request host to share recording
  • See if they uploaded to YouTube privately
  • Use screen recorder as last option (not recommended unless allowed)
  • Vidmate is not a screen recorder. It downloads what it can access freely.

Education Use – Why Downloading Webinars Is Useful?

  • Downloading study sessions helps when:
  • You missed the class and wanna watch later
  • You wanna repeat important topic offline
  • Your internet is slow or costly
  • You’re travelling or going out of city
  • With Vidmate you don’t need to depend on live internet every time.

Steps to Download Webinars on Vidmate (if available)

Here’s a quick process:

  • Copy the video link from browser (YouTube Facebook etc)
  • Open Vidmate app
  • Paste the link in search bar
  • Wait for Vidmate to fetch it
  • Choose video quality like 480p 720p or 1080p
  • Tap “Download”
  • Video will save to your phone memory

Make sure your internet is stable while doing this

Extra Tip – Use Vidmate’s Search Wisely

Sometimes even if you don’t have link you can just type the webinar topic in Vidmate search bar like:

  • AI in Education Webinar
  • Math Class by XYZ College
  • IELTS Free Webinar 2024
  • If those videos exist on any supported platform Vidmate will show them. You can download from there.

Legal Point – Always Check Permission

Not every webinar is allowed to be downloaded. Some are private or paid. Before downloading always check:

  • Is the video public?
  • Is there any copyright or watermark?
  • Are you allowed to save it for personal study?

Use Vidmate only for legal and fair use. Never share downloaded webinars without asking the owner.

What About Quality and Size?

Most webinars are in HD or 720p. So a 1 hour webinar can be around 500MB to 1GB depending on quality. If you use mobile data try:

  • Downloading on WiFi
  • Choosing 480p quality to save space
  • Cleaning old videos to free storage

Where Does Vidmate Save Webinars?

By default Vidmate saves downloaded files in:

  • Internal Storage > Vidmate > Video

You can change this location in Vidmate settings if needed. Also you can organize your study videos by renaming them after download.

Final Thought – Vidmate Works But With Limits

So yes you can download webinars using Vidmate – but only if they are on public platforms like YouTube or Facebook and not hidden behind password or private Zoom links.

If your teacher or coach shares the session publicly then Vidmate is a great tool to save and watch anytime. I use it regularly for marketing webinars and English learning content.
